Now it's SuperDuperMarket
Fantastic, but sad
5:19 - Little did that market seller know that his spiel "Never seen daylight, moonlight, fanny by the gaslight" would be copied & used in the start of the 1998 film "Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" when Bacon is selling his stolen watches from a suitcase - ruclips.net/video/VJ_63D8XTrg/видео.html
Обожаю тебя, Сьюзи! Прошла молодость, но она была прекрасна под Ваши песни.
0:26 not bad money for a true Socialist
3:39 much as I like Eno, this reeks of Woke left of centre sanctimony
very good song
@Richard Lloyd - I have told many people that you deserve more credit for Television. Most of the songs are actually driven by your riffs. I love Tom's playing too, RIP. When I saw Television at the Fillmore (3 times!), I stood in front of you.
XXX
I can see why some people can see him as sort of insufferable but you can’t deny Paul is just one of those people you just wanna hear what insanely on-point things he has to say.
Great groove!! Got stuck right in.
Never forget what they stole from you.
Loved this show. Thank you for the trip down memory lane 😊
I expected Del Boy any minute.
It's a cockney walkabout!
Wokeism and COVID not yet born at that time…. Good old days indeed.
Good ol’ days No stabbings back then
Good old Sid and his faux London accent.
Oooh aaah ‘Sidney’ not Sid :))
It's in these things that one can see MORE similarities than differences between different countries. Looks like and sounds like a street market here in Italy.
What a lovely country. Where is it ?
My England ,when England was proper,
"no it's mostly for women?!" how rude!!!
I've tried and tried but just can't make sense of "old money"!
And none of it is made in china!
Makes the quayside market look shit the local market up here for you southerners lol
God who remembers going dow that stretch
There was a brief glimpse of a racing tipster calling out 'I've got a horse!' I think his name was Prince Monolulu and he went around race courses (and markets) selling a newsletter with his advice on horses to bet on. As to the narrator Sid James, he had some funny lines, such as buying a book because his table had a short leg.
What year was this one made
4:16 'you'll find a lot of citizens 'ere from all over the world.' We're citizens and in it together was the message way back then.
Twelve bars of chocolate for a shilling. That's 5p in new money. Even if it was shitty chocolate, that's still a bargain.
Brilliant video upload proper market back in the day not like the rubbish markets of today there is 500 of these videos all together be nice to see them all good video to watch anyway 😀👍
So sad how London is now makes me wanna cry

@@londo776 how does it make me racist because If would prefer my country’s capital to he authentic and totally British? It’s like saying my wedding reception was amazing but it would of been so much better if we had invited some black people and some Chinese and Pakistani to our wedding day ! Come on let’s speak real who in there right mind would wish for there own Country to have loads of Foreign people living it ? Does China sit there crying because there’s not enough white westerners? Does India want more white people to move to there country? No they don’t of course not it’s a natural thing for human beings wanting to live with there own people who has the same beliefs and religions if that floats your boat of course! I have nothing against anybody unless they harm me or my family I don’t wish anything bad on anyone
@@peterolley7159 you have just proved my point ignorant fool

Is that Tony Robinson in the car?

Wasn't it dark in the good old days.

Supermarkets = globalization and according to Tesco immigration is good for them as they can pay their staff minimum wages .
another racist crawling from under there rock
@@londo776 The only problem with your theory Ian is I’m married to a women of color and I never said anything racist. Poor lefty’s have only a very small Vocabulary and racist is in every sentence . It’s not the only thing that’s small is it Ian .
Caw blimey fackin el guvnah ows abaat a shillin eh ?

Little did everyone realise what the supermarkets were going to do to our towns and villages?
My dad stood markets in East Anglia from the 70's to the 90's selling shoes made some very close friends but the greengrocers and fruiterers up from London where like hamsters they'd try and nick bits of you frontage and everyone else had to stick together against them
It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things 😎
There’s a lot of white people in this film.

South African Solomon Cohen (aka Sid James) was a total fraud. As much a Londoner as Desmond Tutu.
